The queue of people both inside and outside Cafe Rocks every weekday lunchtime tells you everything you need to know.
The menu is simple consisting of freshly prepared sandwiches made using your bread and fillings of choice, Panini's, coffee, tea and so on. As long as you steer clear of the soup (which I am sure is just heated up from a can) then Cafe Rocks is a good place to pick up lunch.
There are a few tables to sit at outside and downstairs with a sandwich bar in the front of the shop, but during the hours of lunch I would avoid the latter.
Nothing is overpriced and the Italians serving you are as friendly as you could ever find.
Dare I say it, Cafe rocks, well Rocks!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carolus G.Santa Cruz, États-Unis0917 sept. 2011
We came here for breakfast and coffee. Surprisingly, although the server seemed to be Italian, the latter was an issue: for my partner, he insisted on a latte although she tried ordering a black coffee; he tried doing the same when I ordered, but only my repeated insistence on cafe negro, black coffee, got through. When our coffees came, mine was seemingly a watered down nescafe, while my partner's had a very weird taste, as if they'd mixed some instant coffee at the bottom and covered it in artificial creamer. Anyway, our English breakfasts were better: very well priced, and very expansive. Individual items were somewhat lacking (aging tomatoes, old beans) but overall the core of the breakfast was solid (sausage, ham, eggs, toast). Perhaps we'll venture back in the future, but for now the mess with the coffee is keeping us away.
