Nontoxic Dry Cleaners

Being an enthusiastic red wine drinker I had to find a dry cleaner in London, who does not cost the world. Learning from my own experience depending where you go, you can get ripped off. So make sure you ask before you bring your dresses and jackets how much it will cost.

At City Dry Cleaner they have a very friendly service. Their good understanding and willingness to get the stains out makes them sympathique. They say they try but cannot guarantee...For a dress I pay around £7 considering around Barbican they charged me around £11 - not ok!

There service is quick and therefore you can get it back after 2 days. I know lots of guys going there as well, delivering their 5 shirts of the week and I am sure they give you for a higher quantity a better offer. I mean - I would be highly impressed to know if any guy is ironing his shirts?!

City Dry Cleaners on Curtain Road is a reliable dry cleaners also offering alteration services. Offering free delivery and pick up on jobs over £20, City Dry Cleaners is definitely cheaper than many of the dry cleaners nearer Liverpool Street Station and is good at simple hemming jobs and, obviously, dry cleaning.

Running a little vintage business - and being a complete sewing novice - I'm in and out of City Dry Cleaners all the time. Their knowledgeable staff are a pleasure to deal with and if you ask really nicely they can sometimes complete alterations in very little time.

MIGHT AS WELL THROW YOUR CLOTHES/SHOES IN THE BIN. Honestly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. My clothes took 17 WEEKS before they were ready for collection, and in a damaged condition when I got them back. I stupidly paid when I dropped them off but they refused to refund me or compensate for the damage.

In addition... and this is where it gets nuts... the owner hid in the back room for 45 minutes when I came to collect them (I refused to leave until he came out). When I mentioned small claims court he literally grabbed my receipt out of my hand and refused to give it back. He was very nasty including making some gross misogynistic slurs (I'm a man... this fact appeared lost on him). He swore at me and threatened to sue me for slander if I gave him a bad review. Honestly I hope he does! It's the only way my experience will actually cost him something - makes my blood boil that he made £46 out of me

Avoid at all cost having laundry done! One of my sheets was ripped to pieces, another sheet got exchanged for one that is not mine.
Trying to sort it out with the manager resulted in being shouted at on the phone in the rudest way.
A very upsetting and expensive experience.

Worst cleaning I have experienced in London. I gave them a Celine knit with minimal wear and one stain on the sleeve and hem from spilling a food on me. Had to wait 4 business days for pick up and the garment is far from clean. There are no indicators that stains are were left. It looks like the black colour has bled - which has never happened before with this garment. The white is not white. There is no dry clean label that its even been cleaned and it doesn't smell fresh. Very poor service and due to the time constraint I will not be giving it back for a another wash. Cost me £8.30 which is too $$ for one viscose knit.

I would say that One of the best in london. One of my friends told me about this place and i went to get my suits cleaned and they did a fantastic job. If you go to this place you wont regrate.

This place rocks. I live near by and had been taking my stuff into town for alterations, but on this day, I was planning a big event and didn't have time to take this new dress in and I wanted to wear it, and I remembered I had seen this place with this woman happily sewing in the window. I used to be a costume designer and I can just tell when someone loves sewing, and when they do, they're usually really good. This woman is awesome (can you tell I'm American) anyway, she's the best. I never take anything into town now. The prices are reasonable, she really knows what she's doing, and she's super fast. What more could you want!

I have been going to this cleaners for a while now. I mostly take in my business suits and have been consistently pleased with the service. They have also proven to be accommodating on the couple of occasions that I have had to get some clothes in and back before unexpected business trips. I feel like I can always count on them.

WORST EVER SERVICE!

I have used this "business" to dry clean 5 shirts. When I noticed large brown iron stains at the same spot on all collars, I returned to show the owner the stains. Not only did he pathetically attempted to blame me for the stains, he was also incredibly nasty - started screaming at me when I suggested that they should have them re-cleaned properly. Before long, he started SWEARING at me for suggesting it was their fault!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

terrible, they shrunk some of my clothes that were supposed to be dry cleaned. They took a piece of leather off one of my shirts that was button removable and lost it, now the shirt is useless. I would strongly advise against using this place.
