Very cute Mexican restaurant with attentive personal!
I loved the decoration and the atmosphere. They made great Mojitos upon request.
Had the chili con carne as a starter, which was good (would have expected it to be more spicy). Following Chicken Enchiladas which came with rice, beans and a small salad. Huge plate with delicious food. Would have rated 5 of 5 if my meal came hot and not tepid. It still tasted amazing! Friends had the nachos (also great) and steak Fajitas .
The price was totally fair as well.
All in all: GREAT Mexican restaurant in BerlinHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 10 nov. 2019
Friendly service, wow! You can feel at home and well taken care of here. It's an adorable, charmingly lit little place.
Great food, too. Fajitas were delicious though, by US standards anyway, the guacamole and salsa portions on the side were a bit skimpy. But the flavor was great!
As was the margarita. Simple drink, rocks and salt, but delectable nonetheless. Nicely done!
I like this place. It's not easy to find good Mexican food in Germany but this place has it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 30 déc. 2018Avis mis à jour
Jolly and popular Mexican-themed restaurant in Schöneberg. There's a cosy front dining area and a larger room at the rear, all decorated with Mexican style murals, including one of Frida Kahlo, after whom the restaurant is named.
It's Tex-Mex, though presumably the German version, as it was nothing your average American would recognise - and note that the burgers are actually sandwiched between tortillas rather than buns.
Portions are generous for the price, and our meal of nachos with cheese, sour cream and guacamole followed by a burrito and two burgers, with a beer each, and s tip came to just under €50 for three. All the food was freshly cooked and tasty.
Service was very friendly and helpful and a kitchen error with our order was picked up and sorted without us having to point it out. The main problem was the speed of the kitchen - or rather, the lack of it. We were served reasonably quickly, but as soon as it got busy, other tables had to wait longer, and one couple gave up after 40 minutes.
So, I'd happily go there again, but others may have had a different experience. Go early or during quieter periods, unless you're happy to wait.
Update December 2018: another good meal, under €25 for two including beers, and this time with (much) faster food service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 01 avr. 2018Avis précédentJolly and popular Mexican-themed restaurant in Schöneberg. NO NO NO DO NOT GO. Food is not even close to what Mexicans would serve you.
The drinks and food are terrible, steak tough, what they call salsa is bland as paper. They serve you attitude and bad food, then make you go to an atm to get cash. Best decision is to avoid this place.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tony A.San Francisco, États-Unis142335 mai 2018
If you are looking for a genuine IBA margarita on the rocks in Berlin, this place delivers. The food was great as well.
As a Colorado native coming here with my Texan girlfriend, we were both surprised to find a place that would be right at home in the Southwest US. We were in a Cinco de Mayo mood and were a bit worried we couldn't find good Mexican in Berlin, but this place hit the spot.
We started with chichen nachos, which were individually laid out on the plate and baked, just the way I like it, and served with guacamole and sour cream. For dinner I got chicken enchiladas and my girlfriend got beef fajitas, which came out sizzling the way it should be. I'd highly recommend all of these dishes.
I've tried finding Mexican food many times in Europe before, and this place was by far the best I've had.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jo Petter K.Oslo, Norvège27164494 sept. 2018
A party of seven, tired after a long day at the IFA-messe. We had a very nice evening here. It was very pleasant to get away from the more noisy areas of central Berlin. The service was very kind, the food was good, both my fajitas and the steaks my friends had were as good as we'd hoped. We will get back here next time we visit Berlin!

SUUUUPER awesome! Tonight was my first time there! I went with a friend and we LOVED it. The margaritas were yummy and the nachos too. The environment was comfy and not "too loud". The food arrived quickly and still hot. And the waitress and the rest of the staff were VERY friendly. I will DEFINITELY be coming back!

Y'all, this isn't Mexican food. Perhaps it's the standard in Germany, but being from Alabama where we have many carnicerías and taquerias, as well as more than our fair share of Tex Mex places, I was super disappointed. The "frozen margarita" was some concoction of mixed syrups with literal whole ice cubes floating around. I'm giving 3 stars because the staff were nice, and the food didn't taste bad... mostly just an affront to comida mexicana and the names of Frida y Diego.
I ordered the "tacos al pastor." Hard emphasis on the quotations marks. Huge pork strips with bell peppers and onions and mushrooms. Flour tortillas. No cilantro, no lime. Come on.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan J.The Heights, Houston, États-Unis310131516 juil. 2019
From Texas this place is good, some of the stuff is a little odd but it all tasted great. Would eat again anytime, helped me feel like I was back at home.
