L.L. Bean Outlet

I enjoy poking around the LLBean Outlet. They've moved to a new pricing model in the last few years and I don't think the deals are as good as we used to get, but it's still cheaper. The prices on the items are normal retail prices and each rack will have the percentage off above it. Most of the clothes are 30% off the retail prices. If you look, you may find a rack with 50% off or more and they have specials on items they are looking to move.
We have the LLBean MasterCard so we have points and can use the points at the store. That makes for some great shopping. Staff is always helpful.

My two daughters and wife demanded that we stop at this outlet on the drive to Portland, Maine. It was a good call. The store was full of discounted high quality merchandises. Everything was well organized and clearly priced. We brought rain coats, duck shoes, hiking socks, and light winter jackets at 30% to 40% discount. The check out ladies were very friendly and chatty.

The same way I enjoy outlet malls for their deep, deep discounts on designer clothing, I also love buying bed linens and other home textiles. We visited a NY outlet back in early March but were stumped to noticed there weren't any home stores and left us with the urge for 'home' outlet shopping. So on our drive south to Portland, ME from Bar Harbor, hubs and I decided to see this L.L. on Rt 1 in Ellsworth.

I honestly think the men's clothing (more so than the women's) are a bit on the cool side so picked up a few casual tops for my husband since he's still working from home and some lightweight cargo pants. While I'm a proud owner of their heavy-duty canvas totes for the last umpteen years (I own 2 large ones), the clothes not so much. L.L. women's clothes aren't my style- and not to say anything wrong about it, but the clothes are more for a certain crowd. There are those duck boots and small wooden furniture on the floor also for sale. But I finally got my hands on a white-grey cotton sheet set and a down grey comforter that I've been wanting.

As the cashier scans your items, you'll notice their original, jacked-up prices- so don't let it spook you the way it did to me as discounts are applied at the end. Once we paid, I didn't feel this was my doom-and-gloom outlet visit. Service was nice and respectful by the way.

Looking for outer gear for hiking the coast. Great deal on sale items. My wife decided to get the 20% off with the credit card application.

Large selection and large fitting room to try on things. Have found some good deals here on clothing. Surprisingly, linens on sale here are still really expensive here. Some Knick Knacks near the register ring up full price despite the sign saying 20 percent off. Parking lot needs resurfacing.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this store on our way into Bar Harbor, and now our wallets are hurting. We absolutely loved this store, and I could have stayed here for HOURS!
Some reviews said they didn't have great deals/discounts/a ton of product, but I found the opposite (maybe because we were the only tourists crazy enough to come up to Bar Harbor in February?). They had tons of coats in all sizes, tons of different Bean Boots and other footwear options, a variety of accessories from winter gear to water bottles, and even bedding and pet products!
My boyfriend got a green 2 layer ski coat 60% off that he wore hiking the next day and had to take off he was sweating so much! We both bought a pair of unlined Bean Boots for 60$ each (YOU WILL BE SHOCKED HOW MUCH YOU SIZE DOWN! I am usually a 9.5 and bought a 7 (no half sizes)) and while we were a little concerned about being cold, the Bean socks we bought kept our toes nice and cozy! I also bought a zip up fleece for a great deal as well.
I could definitely see this store getting picked dry in summer months, but in February they were overflowing with stock and great deals! Wish I could come back every week! (But my wallet sure doesn't)

This is your typical LL Bean Outlet store with very reasonable discounts on Bean items. The store was immaculate and well organized. I was particularly drawn to the 70% off discounted man's pants, however I was unable to find the correct length size. I browsed a bit more and was also interested on the shirts, but thought they should have been discounted a little more than 30%, so I didn't pick up any.

If your not 8 feet tall, 10 foot wide or 3 foot tall and a tooth pick you won't find much. Found a few things but had to hunt hard. Everything's 30% off

waste of time...VERY EXPENSIVE
Discounts are a joke. Even returned monogrammed bags are $35...crazy. There are sitting chairs there for $2400..crazy

This is an outlet store, nothing more, nothing less. As a visitor to the area, we felt it necessary to patronize the iconic L.L. Bean brand, and this was an easy way to do so. They have tons of options for shoes, boots, clothes, equipment. The store is a bit overwhelming, but I think that comes with the territory of being an outlet. However, I was expecting larger discounts than were present and ended up leaving with nothing.
