This is a great neighborhood local bar-friendly service that feels like home with great tunes and a plethora of tapas for patrons. We could stay all night.

As a general rule, I love any bar that:
1. Is at the top of the hill. Everyone knows you want the high ground before you go to war, and Montmartre is as good as it gets.
2. Offers affordable beverages. Happy hour runs til 9 pm I think? Why don't we have this in Brooklyn?
3. Offers free food. They had the stinkiest of cheeses for us to eat with our wine, as well as bread, grapes, and other little bites.
Normally, when people ask me if I want some cheese with that whine, they are just being dicks. I like you, Proibido.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Matthew W.St. Petersburg, États-Unis06420 oct. 2019

I am thoroughly convinced that no fat people can live in the 18th! Everything is at the top of a hill. If you are lucky enough to happen upon this gem, then grab a pint and hang with the locals. Tell 'em large Adam sent ya!

Enjoyed free cheese and bread from 18-21hr with delicious beers (Duvel and Chimay Bleu in bottles for 6€ a piece). Bartender was kind and patient with my broken French. I didn't order food but enjoyed the ambience of several people arriving between 6-7pm and American music (B-52's, Hall & Oats, etc.). If I lived nearby, I would make this my regular neighborhood spot

What can I say? Prohibito was a stones throw from where I was staying in Paris, so it became my local watering hole. It's not a tourist bar at all, so expect to meet people from the Montmartre neighborhood. It has fairly loud music, and can get a little rowdy. The bartenders are super cool, and like buying shots and taking one with you! Gaetan was my favorite! The prices are great anyway, but they have happy hour until 9:30 PM with free noshes. I heard they have brunch, but they were closed when I stopped on a Sunday. I might have been too early.
Toward the end of the night you will see some dancing on the floor and maybe even a few flames across the bar. I had a creeper bothering me the last night, so the bartender had a word with him and kept an eye on me. I had a great time here. Probably not your scene if you are looking for quiet and romantic.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Byanka S.Saint-Louis, États-Unis91851027 nov. 2015
Only reviewing drinks and bartenders.
I loved this place! I bookmarked it on Yelp for our trip to Paris. It was close to the Airbnb we stayed at in Montmartre. The bartenders were super nice. They had FREE appetizers and snacks. They were playing blues music (one of my favorite genres) for a while. $1 shots. Yes. All the yes. Customers seemed laid back. It is a small place, and it did get packed, but it was a good time. I hope to be back one day!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marine B.Paris, France434932427 oct. 2013
Guys, here is the way to become obese for just a few bucks (well, Euros, but it's still pretty cheap). Just imagine an all you eat brunch with tons of salads, meat, cheese, soups, pizzas, croissants, crumbles, fresh fruit. For 16.50€. Aaaand in a great neighbourhood - well, pretty touristy, but you can eliminate your 7 plates of delish food by climbing up to the Sacré-Coeur.
Abundant food with a (close) view - you might find better someplace else, but I highly doubt you it!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Tessa M.Chicago, États-Unis32515 oct. 2012
A cosy, lively bar a stone's throw from Sacre Coeur but a mile away from the tourist hustle and bustle. It fills up quickly, but staff and clients alike remain cool and friendly. An added bonus: drinks are pretty cheap for Paris, with 3E bottles of cidre brut and 6 or 7E cocktails

Great bar with an "interesting" clientele. Always make new friends here and leave tipsy after one too many drinks!
