Canny pub with a good atmosphere and great beer at great prices and it's bang on the river Tyne so you have some belta views on the bridges and the sage building etc

Another 'spoons bar. What would we do without them? However, sitting outside on a summers day, ( yes, we DO get them in the NE, occasionally) with a pint, watching the Tyne flow past, is truly idyllic.
Cheap beer, reasonable nosh, and a good view, what more can you ask for?.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gordon M.Glasgow, Royaume-Uni229510515 sept. 2015
Run of the mill Weatherstones, chain pub, what makes it that bit special is it's right beside the river so you can sit and watch the Tyne slip past, like a dark levitation.
Along has a nice courtyard out back by the road, serves food and does pitchers of cocktails for a fiver, though the barman may look at you a little strange if you tell them you want straws not glasses for them!

Newcastle's most iconic landmark and tourist attraction - beautiful views day and night! This area really epitomises what Newcastle has to offer...beautiful architecture, culture and a thriving nightlife.
An ideal destination for walkers, runners and cyclists alike and personally my number one route when training for the Great North Run. Each Sunday you also have the option to peruse the Quayside Market whilst taking in the views. If you're visiting the city and looking for that one perfect tourist snap then this is it!
On a nighttime, it can be so tranquil and is a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. That said...further along the river you can easily access a whole host of different bars and restaurants on the side streets set back from the river! There really is something for everyone!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ben D.Gateshead, Royaume-Uni07328 janv. 2021

Pretty good pub for deals. Don't order the Rump Steak, unless you like eating rubber. It's quite chewy I just kept chewing it and the meat would not come apart. However the BBQ ribs and the sirloin steak were great. Also the jacket potato (Aka baked potatoe) also delicious.
Amazing value overallHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Luke F.Manchester, Royaume-Uni58128 oct. 2015
A very cosy pub on the quay side of Newcastle Upon Tyne offering a wide variety of drinks and cask ales. The food and drinks are priced cheaply however the food isn't of great quality (you get what you pay for). The quality of the service can also vary depending on the time of day and the staff do appear to be overworked.

This Wetherspoons is in a very old building, so old that tall people have to duck through the door . Big patio in the back and the front (on the river), so fantastic to sit in summer and people-watch. Lots of seating, much of it sunny. Drinks are very cheap compared to the rest of town - food is too, though I haven't tried it! I find it more appealing than most Wetherspoons given the prime location. Always busy on nice days, sometimes you'll be queuing for drinks which is a bit of a hassle, but worth it once you get a seat!
