This bar/restaurant has a very large car park which was full when we arrived. The menu has lots of variety to offer; belly pork, steak and ale pudding, fish and chips, you name it. Excellent servic and friendly helpful staff. The food was absolutely delicious and I am going to give The Tempest Arms five stars.

Stayed here this week on the recommendation of a work colleague and wow!!!
It's in a wonderful spot on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
The room was large with two queen sized beds and a sofa and chair, a large flat screen TV and a fire place for the winter nights. Bath Robes and Moulton & Brown toiletries in the bathroom.
The food was excellent (there is a sample menu on the website) and there was a large selection of wines but the best bit was the beers. They had Timothy Taylors Landlord and Best Bitter, Theakstons Best Bitter, Dark Horse Best Bitter, Moorhouses Elslack Ale and Thwaites Wainwright as well as a range of keg beers, lagers and ciders - Heaven!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (poirot…)Skipton, Royaume-Uni35519 nov. 2008
Wonderful Yorkshire pub with great beers and a very varied menu, with something for everyone. We have been visiting this pub for over 30 years and have seen the landlords come and go. It has still maintained its friendly atmosphere and kept up its high standards (especially its beer). Although last time we went the specials board was not that special which is why I have marked it down one star.
A wonderful place to stay with well appointed bedrooms and a fantastic breakfast experience. lots to do nearby. Decent parking although a little smaller now due to expansion so get there early at the week end!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (ABroug…)Leeds, Royaume-Uni05519 nov. 2008

This one gets a straight five stars for its great food. The menu is immense and includes at least one of everybodies favourite meal. The setting is gorgeous, set out in the middle of the countryside.
They stock a wide range of locally brewed real ales and have an outside area for those hot summer days.
The menu comes as A3 size to enable them to get all of those lovely meals onto it. The food is really well priced as well considering the big portions that you get served.
Friendly and welcoming a must for anyone in the yorskhire area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (aliwhe…)Skipton, Royaume-Uni2715 avr. 2011
We use the Tempest as one of our favourite venues to run our food safety and HACCP training courses.
The food is fantastic (very large portions so be warned). Bedrooms are also very comfortable and reasonably priced - two execturive suites with hot tubs! Decor is cosy with plenty of modern, colourful touches.
Make sure you book at busy times otherwise you could have a long wait in the bar as it's VERY popular.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Membre Qype (Stocky…)Skipton, Royaume-Uni04817 nov. 2008
Visited this place with a group of 10 of us on short notice and there were more than happy to fit us in for a meal. The food was reasonably priced but a bit of a let down, I had heard nothing but rave reviews in the past. The beer is where this place really excels, having a varied selection at good prices.
